IN DENMARK WE DANCE AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE?

Well that went by way too fast. but for the last time this year. MERRY CHRISTMAS! :D

oh also, I'm sorry I told you that it would be updated on Sundays and then today is Monday, but it is the holidays and I cannot keep up with the days anymore! Well I hope you all had a very merry Christmas or happy something else, you know all the holidays! :D

So Christmas eve we went down south. Woop.
My best friend got me this sweater and the mustache socks and I am in love.

Disneys christmas show is a must and also its a thing that really makes it feel like christmas in my family.

festive toilet paper.

Down here everyone has to wear a santa hat or a christmas hat of some sort so I wore this. and a paper crown!

Down here 'soup' is tradition, but I dont actually think that is typical danish Christmas food? Hm.
So the food.. I mean I would LOOOVE to explain to you what we eat, but besides the fact that we eat duck we eat a lot of different danish things! For dessert is what we call "Ris a La mande" its rice pudding, but cold mixed with whipped cream and chopped almonds. The tradition is then that you have to find the one almond that is whole and the one who gets it, gets a present!

Okaaaaay so for those of you who dont know or forgot when dinner is over and you dont feel that heavy anymore its time to exercise and move a little. Because here we dance around the Christmas tree. Okay 'dance' is a little much, we walk in a line after one another and we sing danish Christmas carols.

My all time favorite thing and it has been my favorite thing since I was very young, is the last song. It is literally 3-4 lines and its kind of fast and you sing the same 3-4 lines over and over again while you run around the entire house in a line holding hands with the person in front of you and behind you.
Also when I say 'the whole house' I mean the 'whole' house every little tiny room in the house. This is a summer house by the beach so it isn't that big.

The 25th we ate a biiiiiig Christmas lunch which is very common here and we played a game that is also traditional. When you start this game there is not timer on and every player brought at last one present with something stupid in it, then you take turns rolling a dice and every time you get a 6 you grab a present from the middle of the table. Then when all presents are gone someone sets a timer without looking and now you steal presents from each other until the timer goes off.

I know they do this in Germany, well at least I'm pretty sure they do. Well we do it here and its pretty fun. haha

We drove home the 25th as well and then the 26th we (My parents and I) went out for a walk in the woods because it FINALLY STARTED SNOWING YAAY!

Then we went home and watched something that I forgot haha.

The 27th we went to my dads parents house for another Christmas lunch thing and we stayed for dinner as well and it was lovely as always.

The 28th.. which was yesterday we watched kick ass I think, yup we did and then later on The Sound Of Music which is just Christmas tradition.

This morning Karina came over to borrow my moms Kitchen aid cause she's baking traditional New Years cake thing for the 31st and needed to borrow it. Havent seen her in ages so that was nice haha.

Tomorrow Justine is coming to visit and spend New Years here and i'm sooooo excited :D
I hope you all had an AMAZING Christmas and you will have a great New Years Eve!

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MAY YOUR 2015 BE AN AWESOME YEAR!
