2014 here I come.

So this break I've been doing nothing and everything. wow. So the 24th is the date we celebrate christmas in Denmark... I dont even know why it's different, but it is. At around 12ish(PM) we went to Jutland which is the bigger part of Denmark 

anyhow, we went there and had a lot of food, duck cause that's one of the things we eat chrismas eve and then this thing called "ris a la mande" for dessert, which is cold rice pudding mixed with whipped cream and vanilla and then you put almonds in it... chopped almonds and one whole almond and the person who gets the whole almond gets a gift and thats kind of a danish tradition. Usually we in denmark "dance around the christmas tree" which is actually just walking around the tree singing christmas carols, but not everyone actually wanted to walk around it this year so we just sat down singing and my dads father read from the bible and then we handed out presents;

as a tradition we watch "Disneys christmas show" its on every year

aaaaand, then my phone was so nice to remind me that it was christmas

 then christmas day(25th) we had a lot of leftovers, we got home at night the 24th and my mom and dad made like tons of food the 23rd and 22nd so they wouldnt have to cook the days after christmas and in Denmark "christmas lunch" is a big thing and its like gatherings where you eat tons of food for lunch and if it has to be "after the book" you eat fish, then meat and then a hot meal and sometimes there's dessert we had our own little lunch the 25th in pjs and Karina came over, we watched movies all day and just ate. 

we didnt do it exactly after the book that day, but it was still good 

 

my uncle went to Charlotte not long ago and brought me this and im obsessed its not good

i dont actually remember what days this was, but I watched west side story til 1am and finally went to bed 

hard candy! this is THE best, not even kidding 

So my mom and dad gave themselves a new iPad to share and uh... there's photobooth on it that we kinda had to try.. if anyone does not know what that is, its a thing on most apple products besides phones and iPods and it's a camera that like messese up your face its fun.. hard to explain though. haha. 

 then the other day... december 29th I think.. not sure.. we went down south to visit my moms family for an actual "Christmas lunch" and wow haven't been that full in a long time.. it was in the right order.. first we had different kinds of fish.. (raw) then we had meat and this greenish thingy that I do not like.. it's a veggie thing.. not good. and then a hot meal.. oh and fruit salad for dessert i died... oh and of course we had coffee and 3 bowls of candy, but then that was it haha.

 2013. That was a year... filled with a lot of things. For me it was kind of a weird year to be honest like so weird, but then again really good. I see all these people posting stuff everywhere like "please let 2014 be a better year" 2014 is not gonna be better if you're begging for it, but if you make it a better year it is going to be a good year. So I decided that 2014 is gonna be an amazing year! Happy new year to everyone! And I hope you all are going to welcome 2014 in the best way possible I know I am, with the best friends in the entire world(Well except for my actual best friend who im only gonna see before midnight) but all of the other good friends I have haha. Have yourself a merry little christmas

So tomorrow its christmas eve, which is the day we in Denmark celebrate christmas; we eat like ALOT of food, about the same amount as you guys eat for thanksgiving, then we dance(well walk) around the christmas tree while singing and last, but not least open presents. Today is what we would call "little christmas eve" and we're currently watching home alone 2 for the millionth time in my life and that is just one movie that never gets old. Today I've been doing quite a lot and I woke up thinking the world was gonna end or we had an earth quake of some sort, but we didnt. It was our window cleaner guy who came by and washed the windows from the outside and that's how my day started. We had coffee and tried some German christmas cake bread kind that Carly and her family brought and it tasted way better than expected, while watching Julie & Julie (strongly recommend that movie if you haven't seen it)

at around 1pm I went to the mall with my friend Nanna for some last minute christmas shopping.. cause you know, im always late I got home at around 3 and while drinking coffee with my mom we watched the ending of "how the grinch stole christmas" and I saw half of the movie "a christmas romance" 'til Nanna was done cleaning her whole house so we could go for a walk. The walk was nice, and dark, but I really miss snow and to be honest it doesn't really feel like christmas without it. Before dinner I decorated the christmas tree (yes, talk about being late) but I kinda got in the christmas spirit dancing around to old christmas songs while my brother made rice pudding. 

Julie & Julia, might not be a christmas movie, but its good. 

Maybe I should just take over as Christmas tree?

Well actually I might. 

 this year has been the weirdest year in my life, but it was also a good year! Home alone 2 is almost over and im dead tired so I might actually just go to bed after this! Haha I hope you all have a merry little christmas (if you got that one) and a happy new year, well I might talk to you before new years, but if I wont happy new year and merry christmas! *<:D - Reg! 

Christmas break here I come.

wow okay so I havent really been doing anything other than school lately, but I just finished my final exam which was a presentation and I got an A- which I did not expect so im very happy and glad its over. about like 2 or 3 weeks ago Carly came to visit and stayed for a weekend and it was so unreal and amazing still can't believe she was in my house and im pretty sure the neighbors thought someone was about to get killed out on the parking lot when she came cause we screamed. A lot. haha. well here are some of the pictures that I took havent gotten hers yet and bare with me for not editing the pictures I know some of them need some editing and adjusments, but I just havent had time [:


So they arrived friday evening at like 7pm so we didnt get to take any pictures that day, but saturday we went into Copenhagen while my parents cleaned the house and cooked for the christmas gathering we were having later

we had a christmas gathering when we got home with friends and it was so much fun, we were dead exhausted when we went to bed though. Sunday morning we went for a walk around the area and it was really nice, but unfortunately Carls had to leave, it was kinda sad, but im sure I'll see her again soon. [:

So apparently they were shooting a music video.. and no this guy is not really famous he just had this reality show that i havent even seen so yeah haha. 

well im gonna go back to the school cause we have this thing, not really a party, but then kind of haha Happy holidays and have a great thursday! tomorrow is the last day of school and we only have school for like 3 hours, but we're just gonna eat cake and stuff so its all good and we're wearing pjs again cause its the last day!
