kaaay so, long time no see.. okay well reading I guess.

Last week I didnt post and this week im a day late. Sorry about that, but you all already know why I didnt post last week and if you didnt here is what happened:

So saturday July 26th at around 10am I went to Copenhagen airport to pick up exchange students and while I thought I was picking up 5 I ended up with around 8 I think, but with anothdr volunteer of course, so I wasnt all alone with 8 students dont worry. We then went to this place outside of Copenhagen where we had to spend the rest of the day while all the exchange students slowly came in groups. At around 17.30pm I think not too sure though we went to pick up a group of students, then headed to McDonalds and went and picked up the last two students. (we were all in a bus) then we drove for an hour or two hours to a big school, some might say a boarding school. Lets just call it that. Basically a school with rooms and beds. Where the rest of the volunteers and students were.

Sunday we hung out, talked, relaxed. I got to talk to more of the student than the one I picked up from the airport. Throughout the entire week all 63 students were divided into groups based on their country and I was a volunteer for the German & Serbian group with two other volunteers, Alexander and Isabella.

In the language group we taught them small sentences in danish, some danish grammar and a lot of Danish culture. At the end of the week they had to learn a presentation by heart and it consisted of: My name is ____
I am __ years old
I'm from __(country)__

I'm going to live with ___(hostfamily)___ in ___(city)___

and all in danish, by heart. So that on saturday they all had to stand infront of their host families and say it out loud.
I will have to say those student surprised me so much. I have never ever met a group of students so excited to learn another language and they did it so well. I think most of you guys reading this who arent from Denmark know how weird the language is, so to be able to actually pronounce things in danish within a week is impressive to me.I came home late Saturday August 2nd and I didnt have any keys with me, which was really smart since my parents went down south for dinner. So I stayed at Karinas for a couple hours.

Oh funny thing. Many of you know that my brother just went to Chile on exchange. Well if I didnt tell you in the last post, his host sister from Chile came to Denmark on exchange and lives with a family in Jutland right now. Her name is Gabriela and she's really sweet and I'm really happy he's staying with her and her family. She's going back home in December though so she'll get to meet him.

Speaking of Chile we all skyped Jonathan sunday night
and he's happy and doing really well and I cant wait to hear aaaaaaaall about it when he gets home.

Wednesday afternoon I went on a commercial shoot with Mark, in a bunker. This is a bunker they used for the cold was I think it was and someone had this idea in around 2012 to make it into a music bunker instead and make all the small rooms in there little practice spaces for young people. It's really exciting and I was happy to be back behind the camera with a slate.

oh yeah before I forget this happened:

So one of the volunteers put up envelopes on the wall with the different volunteers names on them and then the students and/or volunteers could put little notes in there and I'm really grateful that people actually took the time to write things, even if it wasnt that long [':

Todaaaaaay!
Well my mom started work monday, but today she was off so as she made coffee, Karina and I went to go get croissants and scones (well and flour and eggs)

which was an awesome way to start my last actual day of summer vacation. Then a couple hours later Karina made pancakes as always its her job, cause Jonathan aint here to do it.

she timed it perfectly cause it started raining so we ended up watching the guilt trip and then we went on a nice family trip to the grocery store.

more or less directly translated: "the catch of the month"
